Makelab Charleston recently won a competition with Inventables.com and as a result we now have a Shapeoko 2 CNC Machine. (computer numerical control)

This is a fully programmable router that members will be able to use to cut shapes in wood, plastic, and even aluminum. You can subscribe to our Makelab Meetup (http://www.meetup.com/Makelab-Charleston/) page to see an upcoming class on how to use this new tool!

We will be having an official vote as a follow up to the first quarterly meeting. The voting agenda will be mailed to all members prior to the meeting on Saturday. We will also have an open house on the same day. If you have been wanting to come down and check us out, don't be shy, this would be a great time to do it. The meeting will be short and sweet and we will have plenty of time to show you around.
